As part of our commitment to serving the local community, Animal Wellness Center believes that altering (spaying and neutering) our animals is the most effective way to manage the pet population and improve their overall health.

We provide low-cost spay and neuters two to three times a month. Reservations are required and a $20 deposit is necessary to hold your place. The deposit must be paid the day of booking the appointment to keep the spot. Please call for our next available day!

Here is a list of prices that include an evaluation, surgery, and pain medication. E-collars are strongly recommended and are NOT included in these prices, but the price for them is listed below.

Animal Wellness Center does participate in the Hillsborough County voucher program. For more information or to apply, visit the Hillsborough County website.

We cannot accept brachycephalic dog breeds for surgeries (for example, bulldogs, pugs, Boston terriers, etc. – If you are unsure if your dog falls into this category, please contact us). Unfortunately, AWC cannot accommodate their special needs for anesthesia.
